InBev bid for Anheuser-Busch will be felt in Mexico |

A $46 billion bid for Anheuser-Busch by the Belgian brewer InBev looks certain to shake up Mexico's beer duopoly.
Modelo, whose beers include Corona, and Femsa, whose beers include Dos Equis, sell about 98 percent of all the beer in Mexico, and both brewers face significant change if the acquisition goes ahead.
Anheuser-Busch, the U.S. brewer whose beers include Budweiser, owns 50 percent of Modelo, so any takeover of the maker of Anheuser-Busch would directly involve the Mexican company.
