Lenovo Says Challenges Still Remain |

Lenovo Group Ltd. said it swung to a fiscal fourth-quarter net loss due to hefty restructuring charges and weak demand.
Lenovo, like other global personal computer makers, has been suffering from a slowdown in demand for computers as the global economic slump makes consumers wary about upgrading their PCs. Lenovo and its major U.S. rivals, Hewlett-Packard Co. and Dell Inc., have undergone restructuring in recent months to cut costs.
Lenovo, China's largest PC maker by shipments, posted a net loss of $264 million for the three months ended March 31, compared with a net profit of $140 million a year earlier. Sales fell 26% to $2.77 billion from $3.73 billion.
