Google's China chief to quit |

Google Inc. said Thursday that its China president, Kai-Fu Lee, is leaving the company to work on his own venture.
He will be succeeded by two executives. The director of engineering in Google's Shanghai office, Boon-Lock Yeo, will take over engineering for all of China. The head of sales for the country, John Liu, will assume Lee's business and operational roles.
Lee was the center of a legal fight when he left Microsoft Corp. (NASDAQ:MSFT) in 2005 to join Google (NASDAQ:GOOG). That dispute was settled privately.
