Procter & Gamble signals sales rebound |

Procter & Gamble Co., posting better-than-expected earnings, said Thursday that its sales growth is rebounding from a stretch when shoppers had cut back on purchases of its laundry and beauty products for much of the past year.
P&G, maker of Head & Shoulders and Pampers, raised its profit forecasts for fiscal 2010 organic sales and core earnings that exclude charges. It was the second time in three months the household-products giant raised its target for organic sales, which are a barometer for sales trends. Organic sales at P&G have lagged for the past year.
The rosier forecast came as P&G posted a fiscal second-quarter profit and sales that exceeded analyst targets.
