PepsiCo Completes Acquisition of 2 Biggest Bottlers |

PepsiCo Inc., the world’s second- largest soda maker, said it completed the $7.8 billion acquisitions of its two largest bottlers.
The takeovers, which give Purchase, New York-based PepsiCo control of about 80 percent of its North American beverage market, will provide about $400 million annually in savings and increased revenue by 2012, the company said in a statement.
“The integration of the bottling companies into PepsiCo is going to be effortless,” Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Indra Nooyi said today during a call with reporters. “We feel good about where we are.”
