Dell slips as investors wait for higher 3Par bid |

Shares of Dell Inc. slid Tuesday as investors awaited the computer maker's next move in a bidding war with rival Hewlett-Packard Co. over data storage company 3Par Inc.
THE SPARK: After Dell's $1.13 billion offer last week, HP stepped in Monday with an offer of $1.5 billion.
That could force Dell to ante up with even more cash to win the bidding.
THE BIG PICTURE: Both companies want to snap up 3Par in the race to grow beyond the personal computer market, a race that HP is winning.
