CFO Departure Outweighs Disney Deal As Netflix Goes Limp |

Netflix said Wednesday morning that it has expanded its streaming content offering with a deal for television content that it made with Disney-ABC Domestic Television that will allow Netflix subscribers to stream programming from ABC and Disney's cable channels. The content will be delayed by 15 days for newly airing programs, and the deal includes TV content such as Lost, Grey's Anatomy and Desperate Housewives.
The deal seeks to strengthen Netflix ( NFLX - news - people ) against competitors like Hulu and Amazon.com ( AMZN - news - people ), which challenge Netflix ( NFLX - news - people )'s business in online streaming of TV content, more than against the movie-competition presented by Redbox from Coinstar ( CSTR - news - people ), which offers one dollar movie rentals through kiosks in shopping centers around the U.S.
