Dollar General plans 625 more stores |

Dollar General is planning to open 625 new stores this year, creating 6,000 jobs as it expands into three more states.
The company (NYSE: DG) announced its plans Monday, which also include remodeling or relocating 550 more stores. The new states for Dollar General are Connecticut, Nevada and New Hampshire.
Dollar General, based in Goodlettsville, Tenn., has 473 stores in Florida, including eight in Tampa. In total, it has more than 9,200 stores, about 1,000 more than at the start of the financial crisis.
