Google to offer a more social search engine |
The Augusta Chronicle - Feb 19, 2011 |
Google has announced a more social search, which will give users more personalized results.
Results from social sites isn't a new feature, but the results have been separate, at the bottom of the search page. Now, results from sites such as photo-sharing site Flickr, Twitter, questions site Quora, Blogger blogs and other personal sites will show up among top links of results.
For example, if you search for "golf" and someone you follow on Twitter shared a link about golf, the link would show up among Web results, along with a small photo and information on who shared it.
To access the feature, you'll need to be signed in to your Google account and connect the social networks you'd like to see results from.
