Hackers claim BofA kept foreclosure information secret |

A hacker group calling itself Anonymous on Monday published emails from a former Bank of America employee that the group claims demonstrates that a unit of BofA (NYSE: BAC) tried to hide information regarding certain foreclosures.
According to a New York Times report, the emails came from a BofA unit, Balboa Insurance, regarding documents linked to BofA client GMAC, the financing arm of General Motors.
The unit places insurance on homes or cars financed by banks should insurance held by the borrower lapses.
