Apple tops Google as most world's valuable brand |

Apple Inc. moved past Google Inc. as the world's most valuable brand, climbing 84 percent in the past year to $153.3 billion, according to the latest annual ranking by WPP Plc's Millward Brown unit.
Google’s (Nasdaq: GOOG) brand value had been ranked No. 1 for the past four years, but dropped by 2 percent in the most recent year to $111.5 billion.
Cupertino-based Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) has been on a roll in the past year, powered by sales of its iPhones and iPads, passing Microsoft Corp. (Nasdaq: MSFT) in May 2010 as the tech company with the highest market cap and rising to No. 2 behind ExxonMobil Corp. (NYSE: XOM) overall.
