Report: Yahoo, Time Warner talks ramp up |

Yahoo Inc. has stepped up talks with Time Warner Inc. about a possible alternative to Microsoft Corp.'s $44.6 billion purchase offer, according to reports Wednesday.
The Wall Street Journal said Sunnyvale-based Yahoo is discussing the possibility of incorporating Time Warner's AOL Internet unit.
The Journal, quoting people familiar with the matter, said the two companies could be looking at $1 billion in cost savings yearly.
