Apple's IPhone 'push' Challenges RIM's BlackBerry |

Apple Inc. said Thursday it is augmenting its popular iPhone device to help it compete directly with Research In Motion Ltd.'s BlackBerry for business customers.
Apple (AAPL) announced at an event at its headquarters in Cupertino, Calif. that the iPhone will have so-called "push" email and other features already offered by RIM's (RIMM) BlackBerry.
While the iPhone has already become popular among retail consumers, the adding of features such as push email, which enables the use of email on a phone similar to that on a desktop computer, represents a new stage for the high- profile device as Apple seeks a broader, more lucrative customer base among businesses.
