Microsoft, Yahoo execs held first meeting to discuss merger Monday |

Senior executives from Microsoft Corp and Yahoo Inc met for the first time Monday to discuss Microsoft's takeover offer for the internet company, people familiar with the matter told the Wall Street Journal.
The meeting, the first since Microsoft made its unsolicited offer Jan 31 and at which it presented its plans for the combined company, marks a breakthrough in communication between the two camps.
However, no bankers attended and no further talks have been scheduled, the Journal sources said.
