Target March same-store sales rise |

Discount retailer Target Corp. said Wednesday its same-store sales grew 12 percent in March, helped by the earlier Easter holiday. Results were in line with Target's expectations for 11 percent to 13 percent growth.
Same-store sales, or sales at stores open at least a year, are a key measure of retailer performance, because they measure growth at existing stores rather than from newly opened locations.
