A new bid for Dow Jones?

There may be another player for Dow Jones.

Just one week after reports that talks between Microsoft and General Electric about a potential bid for Dow Jones had ended, GE is reportedly pairing up with Financial Times publisher Pearson to make an offer for the newspaper company.

The Wall Street Journal, Dow Jones' flagship paper, and The Financial Times are both reporting that GE and Pearson could make a bid for Dow Jones that would let the Bancroft family keep a minority interest in the company.
