Abu Dhabi's energy firm tags $10B for Canada |

Abu Dhabi National Energy Co. may spend $3 billion US over the next 12 months to more than double production and reserves at the Canadian unit it acquired this week from Pogo Producing Co.
"We see Canada as a core market for investment and participation," Peter Barker-Homek, chief executive officer of Taqa, as the company is known, said Thursday in Calgary.
The state-owned power generator and oil producer is willing to spend as much as $10 billion on acquisitions in Canada, Barker-Homek said.
