Chrysler swipes exec from Toyota |

Chrysler LLC, remaking itself as a private company, has raided the executive suites of Toyota once again.
Chrysler this morning named Toyota Motor North America President Jim Press as its new copresident and vice chairman.

Press was the highest ranking non-Japanese executive in Toyota's history, the man who calmed the storm after sexual harassment charges stung the automaker's New York office last year and the man who unveiled the hulking Tundra pickup in Detroit -- then stuck a hybrid tag on it.
The bold move comes one month into Cerberus Capital Management’s ownership of the Auburn Hills automaker, which sells vehicles under the Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep nameplates.
