Dell adds new storage push, sees PC opportunities |

Dell Inc. Chief Executive Michael Dell unveiled the company's latest attempt to claim more of the market for small and medium storage devices at an event in San Francisco on Monday.
However, reporters at the event appeared more interested in the consumer, retail and marketing directions the company has taken since Dell returned as CEO in late January.
Dell held the event to showcase its new MD3000i storage-area-networking product, which the company claims is easier to use and less expensive than similar offerings from rivals such as IBM Corp. and Hewlett-Packard Co. Dell officials said the device will start at about $13,000.
