Allergan to buy Esprit Pharma

Allergan Inc, a maker of medical devices and Botox wrinkle treatments, said on Wednesday it would acquire privately held Esprit Pharma Inc for about $370 million in cash to expand into the market for overactive bladder disorders.

Esprit currently markets an overactive bladder treatment called Sanctura, and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recently granted approval for a once-daily version of the medication called Sanctura XR.
