UnitedHealth to buy Fiserv assets |

UnitedHealth Group said early Friday that it has entered into a deal to acquire the bulk of healthcare administrator Fiserv Inc.'s health-related businesses for $775 million in cash.
UnitedHealth said that it plans to buy four of Fiserv's divisions: Fiserv Health, which administers health benefits; Avidyn Health, its care facilitation business; Fiserv Health Specialty Solutions, which handles claims and data management; and Fiserv Health's Pharmacy Benefits Management unit.
"Fiserv Health has a set of strategic and well-positioned businesses, a strong management team and talented employees who consistently deliver excellent customer service," said Ken Burdick, chief executive officer of UnitedHealthcare, a unit of UnitedHealth Group, in a statement.
