Fast-Food Company Yum Names Hearl as Operating Chief |

Yum Brands Inc. named longtime executive Roger Eaton to succeed Peter Hearl as chief operating and development officer when Mr. Hearl retires at the end of March.
Mr. Hearl, 55 years old, was named to his current post 13 months ago as Yum reorganized its U.S. business in an effort to improve same-store sales and profit growth. He was president of the Pizza Hut chain before that.
The Louisville, Ky., restaurant owner of the KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell and Long John Silver's restaurant chains said Mr. Hearl made "a personal decision" to retire.
