Apple runs into China Mobile wall |

Whatever big announcements come out of this week's Macworld show, an iPhone deal with China's largest mobile operator apparently won't be one of them.
China Mobile Communications and Apple Computer just couldn't come to terms, according to a published report Monday.
Of course, China Mobile's not the only player in the huge Chinese market. And the iconic iPhone might actually do better as the premier offering of one of the smaller mobile operators.
It's also worth remembering that Apple's phone business is very much a work in progress, and exciting though it may be, there are still kinks to work out. It famously cut the iPhone's price by a third in the U.S. just weeks after introducing it. The next generation of phones could rapidly outdate the first ones. European governments have taken issue with its licensing approaches, and so on.
