Evergreen Solar to sell 20 million shares in public offering |

Evergreen Solar Inc. Monday said it had filed for a public offering of 20 million common shares.
The Marlboro, Mass.-based solar power company listed Deutsche Bank (nyse: DB - news - people ) as the sole book-runner in the offering and granted underwriters an option to buy up to 3 million shares to cover any over-allotment.
The company expects proceeds of $231.9 million of the offering and expects to use the proceeds to complete the first phase of the development of a new manufacturing plant.
