Global economy on slow mend, IMF says |

The global economy is on the mend but it would be premature to think that policymakers can throw away the crutches that have aided the recovery, according to new reports released by the International Monetary Fund on Wednesday.
"The recovery is coming but it is likely to be a weak recovery," said Olivier Blanchard, the IMF's chief economist at a press conference.
"It is too early to implement exit strategies," Blanchard said.
The IMF raised its forecast for 2010 growth to a 2.5% rate, compared with its forecast for a 1.9% rate in April.
