Fed: Economic activity stabilizing |

Reports from the Federal Reserve Bank’s 12 districts show that economic activity stabilized in July and August.
In Texas, the Dallas Beige Book, which is produced by the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, is cautiously optimistic in its latest report saying: “Despite the slight improvement (in demand), several contacts expressed disappointment that conditions had not improved more. While outlooks are less gloomy than earlier in the year, most contacts are hesitant to predict a significant turnaround in the near term.”
The Federal Reserve’s Beige Book collects information from business contacts and compiles a basic report on the state of the economy in local Federal Reserve districts.
