Unemployment rates rise in most states in October |

Unemployment rates rose in 29 states and the District of Columbia in October from September, the Department of Labor said Friday.
Labor said 13 states registered declines and eight were unchanged.
Michigan ranked highest with a 15.1% unemployment rate, followed by Nevada at 13%, Rhode Island at 12.9% and California at 12.5%. North Dakota held the lowest rate at 4.2%, ahead of Nebraska at 4.9%.
