Silver Lining In Retail Sales Decline |

U.S. retailers saw sales decline 0.5% in June, to a seasonally adjusted $360.2 billion.
The Commerce Department said sales of durable goods and gasoline fell the most in June. Excluding automobiles and gas, retail sales would have risen 0.1% in June.
Overall, this was the second month of declines, after sales fell 1.1% in May, following seven months of gains.
Last week's same-store sales reports for June from individual retailers showed an overall brighter picture, with many retailers beating expectations.
